it is very difficult to tell Heliopetes petrus from Heliopetes alana, and, in addition, in Ecuador Oriente, alana is common and petrus quite rare ; nevertheless we tend to think that this specimen, captured by Jeffrey Glassberg near Tena, could well be H. petrus?
