we have three Oleria cyrene subspecies in Ecuador
 - in a small area near la Bonita flies the Colombian subspecies susianoides which is clearly different from the other two,
 - in other parts of the Country are supposed to fly, in the North ssp cyrene, and in the South ssp solida, which are not very different but can be identified easily.


we have found that there is an overlap between these two subspecies as we captured :
 - cyrene at Yanayacu and in the upper Pastaza valley, and
 - solida also at Yanayacu and in the upper Pastaza valley and South to Guarumales, we did not see it farther South, particularly in the Loja and Zamora Chinchipe Provinces.


the key feature to separate the two subspecies is the HWUN cell, as evidenced above.


we didn't find intergrades, but the cells of the Northern cyrene have much more black than those of the Southern ones, also evidenced above.
